What bothers me is the poor coaching decision in the last part of the 2nd quarter.........with seconds left to play and 2 timeouts left they decided to run bush up the middle...with absolutely no intention of trying to score. none. zip. nada. zero........if this the case then why the f-ck do you risk bush getting hurt. Just kneel down take it into the next half. This blunder right there signaled the difference in the game. The one playmaker that we had is now out of the game and we are left with a rookie backfield. IMHO the gameplan changed from that point on
Exactly. When you only have ONE playmaker on the team, why in he11 is in there to burn up the clock and go to halftime!!???!!!??
Piss poor coaching IMHO.
And I agree also, the playcalling got miserably stupid on occasion....why in heck do you not run twice up the middle in OT tp try and make it a 40 yard or less FG...instead, you have Tannehill throw one of his inaccurate down field lobs to Hartline again???
I am hoping ALOT of this is just Tannehill's inexperience, but I have to think a couple of runs and then a FG MIGHT have won the game for the Phins.
One thing for certain we can all take from this game IMHO: the Jets have serious problems on defense and offense. Their WRs stink, except for Holmes, and their defense is nowhere near as good as it once was.
The Phins are a terrible team. The fact the Phins were... a bit better playcalling and some unfortunate misses by the normally accurate FG kicker, and the loss of Bush...away from beating the Jets says more about the Jets than it does about the Phins IMHO.
Was anybody EXPECTING the Phins to win. Be glad they were in the game and kept it exciting is my outlook. Let us hope these painful losses are a LEARNING EXPERIENCE for the Coaches and the team and Tannehill especially.
