Just found out that Starks is now tied for most INTs by active D-linemen, and Wake now has more sacks in his first four years as a Fin than anyone else :-o

Also, Tannehill's passer rating improved for the 4th straight game, and it's his second straight game with a passer rating over 90 :D

And here's Exhibit Z on how irrelevant the running game is in today's NFL.

Is it too early to give props to Philbin? I am really digging this team!

As long as you don't start doing something crazy like giving props to Ireland it's fine with me :)

Seriously, it couldn't be more obvious that Philbin is coaching up Ireland's mistakes. He's the Anti-Cam. The Fins just may wind up winning 3-4 games more than we all thought.

And while you're at it give props to Coyle for somehow coming up with a plan to hold the Bengals to one TD with a defensive backfield held together by bailing wire and string at this point.

Yea - the defense didn't collapse today and sealed the win with a turnover!!!

Before today only the Redskins had fewer games with 3-plus takeaways since '09, so yes it really was shocking to see the Fins get that many.

In '08 BTW they tied for second in the league with 6 such games--almost as many as they had in the three seasons since :-o

Hopefully the days of them setting or tying the team record for fewest takeaways in a season are gone.

I was reading a quote from one of the players and it was very telling regarding coaching styles. They said that this year the team knows before Saturday what the game plan is for Sunday. They said the last few years that they were still trying to figure out game plans on Saturdays for Sundays.

WHAT !?!?    please source that. It's shocking if true. Game planning on both sides of the ball should be complete by WEDNESDAY AM at the latest. What the the fuck can a player do with a scheme hatched on saturday? Don't tell me that. I'm about to lose my mind.

Funny thing. I was much more impressed at the overall level of play in the last two games. Winning cures everything.

I'm without words - the game was a roller coaster. Here's a pure stream of consciousness on the game:

Great display of tenacity. Went down to the freaking wire. Only this time, the result was in our favor. Reshad Jones played out of his mind - a couple tackles for loss then the huge, game-sealing INT. Starks is on fire. Wake is a beast. Tannehill displays no hint that he feels any pressure in tight situations, he keeps getting it done. Clay needs to catch the ball or hit the street. I actually liked a few plays from Daniel Thomas, couldn't be more surprised. Where is L Miller? Loved the plays with guys running out of the backfield (Bess, Lane).

Miller must be the worst pass blocking RB in NFL history not to have gotten more playing time.

But now they have no choice but to play him since Thomas keeps getting a concussion every other game :(
