Rant and rave as most of us do, I have come to terms with the fact that I am a "lifer" as far as being a Dolphin fan. Fact is, if I haven't given them up after all these last how many years of mediocrity/suckatude, let's face it, I never will.

Yes, I want fierland gone as much as anyone, but if ross is stupid enough to bring his sorry ass back, then I guess I will just have to root for ross to sell the team, because, that would mean that the team will NEVER be a winner with ross as the owner.

Ditto. Bleed Aqua and Orange. It really scares the shit out of the people who do blood draws on me at the doc's office. I can't make another team MY team. I was raised a Dolfan, I will die a Dolfan. With the exception of one season, we've been crap for a decade or so. Still, each week, I root for them to win, even when winning might be construed as a bad thing.

Then again, I don't think good teams spend a lot of time drafting high. Only the really shitty teams continue to draft high year after year, and somehow those good teams still end up with Dan Marino and Ben Rothelisberger and Aaron Rodgers and . . . well, you get the picture, and that's just some of the QBs.

I hope even Ross is not dumb enough to keep Ireland, but then again, if he wss smart, he would have canned Ireland along with Sparano, so....

As Degarmo points out, it is not the number of picks you have, or how high you draft, but the overall philosophy behind your drafting that ultimately determines success or failure IMHO.

Ireland seems far too concerned with VALUE IMHO, and foregoes IMPACT like it is the plague.

In any event, it is glaring obvious, EVIDENT to anyone that cares to look, this Phins roster after five years of Ireland is not close to playoff caliber.

Whether that is EVIDENT to Ross remains to be seen.

Ireland tries to find acorns, when he has no nuts.

If we win only two more games, or less, over the rest of this season then I think Ireland is gone. Big time. Any blowouts will just cement the deal.

Ross will meet with Philbin, and Philbin will tell him the roster is crap, then recommend a few people to interview for our next GM. Then Ross will pull the trigger and go into new hire mode.

Best case scenario. Miami has a miracle run. Wins 4 of their next 5. Makes the playoffs. Ireland is STILL fired. Lmao.
