Not anymore anyway. At least we had a few years of elite play at LT. Of course you know the contrast. But, fuck it. I never liked Matt Ryan anyway. He strikes me as a pansy.

Hypo, your abject stubbornness amuses me sometimes  :poke:

I'd love to have a "pansy" QB if it means having the Fins in the playoffs every year.

But I won't turn this thread into a debate about *that* again.

How's that playoff thing going for him ;)

Back to the original question:

Winners win, losers lose. I want Miami to become a winner again, and the sooner that starts the better. BUT - I'd be ok with Miami giving playing time to younger guys so they get some meaningful experience - even if that might mean a greater chance of losing (although you never know - it *might* mean a better chance at winning).

Draft position doesn't mean *shit* if the guy making the picks sucks or is great. The crappy GM will make bad picks where ever he drafts, and a great GM will make better picks where ever he drafts. Last year was the year to lose out and Indy wisely did it.

Good GMs get great players wherever they are. That's why the annual loser teams never draft guys like Rothelisberger or Rodgers or Marino or Brady, because they don't know talent at all. They pick who is supposed to be the next big thing, like Eric Crouch or Tim Couch or Ryan Leaf or Jamarcus Russell (and on and on and on) and they continue to suck because they're terrible in the draft.

So, as FFM just stated, draft position means nothing when you don't have the skills to make excellent picks.
