Seriously, these rumors kill me....Bess refusing to play? Now does that sound like the guy who catches a 100 balls before and after practice.....or the guy that has done everything asked of him......or the guy whose just been a consumate teammate and a true believer in his own personal development?

I really think that this is ireland and all ireland. I think this is his way of lowering expectations about what he is trying to do to this unit. He's trying to control the market for this unit. He's trying to control the spending before he spends IMHO.

That sounds like a more plausible theory.

Obviously all the news this time of year is 99.9% BS...but how about this:

We've heard that the Phins may try to re-sign Bush, we've heard that Bess may be in the doghouse...

What if the plan is to make Reggie the full-time slot receiver, and trade Bess on draft day?

Just throwing this out there...not sure I'd even be in favor of it, but it's at least something to consider...

Ha! No, and we won't miss his tendency to run backward before going forward either! But we would miss his ability to run excellent inside routes and pick up key first downs. Bess is very good at what he does, and if he had just a bit more speed he would be one of the league's best slots, IMO.

He's in the final year of his contract, so now would be the time to trade him if in fact he's not in the team's long-term plans.

Lemme get this straight. So Bess may be cut for something that happened during the last few games. Some how this was top secret during the season but now it's being leaked before the combine? Before free agency? While the player is probably in Hawaii? Please.

Yeah, I agree Laces...these stories are great for message board discussions, but really - all the info we're hearing this time of year is almost all completely bogus.

I may be biased about bess but the fact remains that whe Marshall was here, bess had rhe most productive seasons of his career. If we got a true number one and true number two the field will widen. I think his yard production will decrease but his touchdowns will increase.

True Dat. Everyone would get better , especially Reggie Bush if he resigns.

I like Bess and hope they keep him. But I'm also with the rest of you in that I just want the unit upgraded significantly.
